The Baywick Inn B&B Nelson is centrally located on a quiet residential street, just five minutes from the Central Business District. It overlooks the Maitai River, Brook Stream and the Centre of New Zealand.
The elegantly restored 1885 Victorian two storey villa features native rimu panelling and carved fireplaces.
Guests can relax in the sitting room with its cosy fireplace, enjoying a complimentary port or sherry. There is also the Brookside garden to sit in, relax and listen to the Tui or feed the ducks and eels in the brook.
As members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, Janet and Tim both enjoy sharing with guests the history of our home, highlights like the 1929 earthquake and the work we did to renovate and restore the Baywick Inn.
Tim owns the only New Zealand company Baywick's Wine Cellars that manufactures redwood wine racks and designs custom made wine cellars ... he also knows some very good wines to put in your cellar.
You might also enjoy seeing our classic MG.
The Baywick Inn is also home to Mombozzie, the wire haired fox terrier who only greets guests at their request and the new addition to the Baywick Inn - a little boy Wire Haired Foxy called Jazz.
